About Beach Boys
The formative effect of the Beach Boys over all of rock history cannot be underestimated. Better yet it can be demonstrated by their limited references and artistic influences that they were exposed to. It is said that Brian Wilson and his brothers Carl and Dennis had their musical father Murry as pretty much their main source of influence. Later bands would simply not be honest if they do not name the Beach Boys as having an influence over them.
