With a new band mate, female guitarist Charlotte Hatherley, the sound of Ash was changed and the band ready for anything. Out of high school, the late 90s were a maturation time for Ash, and they were booked in festivals everywhere. The sounds that Ash produced were heavier, grittier and darker.
