About Aaliyah
Also known as Baby Girl, Aaliyah has had a successful music career as well as dancing, acting and modeling careers. Her untimely death in a plane crash in 2001 at the age of 22 ended a promising career that included nine top 10 singles on the Billboard and numerous R&B hits. By the time Aaliyah graduated from high school she had already released two albums, several top of the charts R&B songs and allegedly married R. Kelly. Later Aaliyah would record songs for soundtracks and play in movies too, co-starring in Romeo Must Die.
