About A Tribe Called Quest
The jazz influences and socially conscious lyrics of the rap group A Tribe Called Quest were a perfect alternative to gangsta rap throughout the 90s. Q-Tip, Phife Dawg and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, who together with fourth band member Jarobi White formed A Tribe Called Quest, were intelligent, witty and made great music that still rolls off hip hop fans today, like Can i kick It? and Jazz (We've Got).
