38 Special is a band that can be characterized as one of the classic Southern Rock bands. The band was founded by vocalist Donnie Van Zant in 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2006, 38 Special was voted the 3rd best "Southern Rock Band of All-time", due to its popularity among the fans throughout the years.
